Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Minutiq covering your use of Minutiq. By using the service you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

1. What the service does

Minutiq takes an audio recording, a video file or a transcript and produces a structured set of meeting minutes, which you can download as a Word or PDF document. Transcription and drafting are performed by third-party AI models.

2. Accounts

You can use Minutiq as a guest with a small daily allowance, or create an account for more. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. One person or organisation per account; do not share credentials.

You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.

3. Your content

Your recordings and the minutes produced from them are yours. We claim no ownership of them, and we do not use them to train models. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your upload briefly, send it to our processing providers, and return the result to you. See the Privacy Policy for what is kept and for how long.

You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, including the consent of anyone recorded, where consent is required. Recording laws differ by country and, in some places, by state. Meeting that obligation is your responsibility.

4. Accuracy, and what you must not rely on

The minutes are generated by an AI model and will sometimes be wrong. Speech may be misheard, names and figures misspelled, decisions mis-attributed, and statements produced that nobody made. Quality varies with recording quality, accents, crosstalk and subject matter.

Review and correct the output before you rely on it or circulate it. Do not treat it as a verbatim or legally authoritative record — of a board meeting, a disciplinary hearing, a regulatory proceeding or anything similar — and do not use it as the sole basis for a decision with legal, financial, medical or employment consequences.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you have no right to upload, or that was recorded without a required consent
• Use the service for anything unlawful, or to infringe the rights of others
• Attempt to breach, overload, probe or circumvent the service, its limits or its security
• Resell or redistribute the service, or run it on behalf of others as your own
• Use automated means to create accounts or to evade plan limits

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.

6. Plans, billing and cancellation

Guest and Free tiers cost nothing and carry daily limits. Pro is a paid monthly subscription with a monthly allowance, longer recordings and video input. Current limits and prices are on the pricing page.

Payments are processed by Stripe. A subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled, and the card on file is charged at the start of each period. Prices are in the currency shown at checkout and exclude any tax that may apply.

You can cancel at any time from your account, through the billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your Pro access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Payments already made are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we have failed to provide the service. If a payment fails, Pro access may be suspended until it succeeds.

We may change prices with at least 30 days of notice to affected subscribers, taking effect at the next renewal.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Minutiq running but do not promise uninterrupted service. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because a provider we depend on is unavailable. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid feature materially, we will refund the unused portion of the period.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and the accuracy of any output. Some jurisdictions do not allow such exclusions, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law permits, Minutiq is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data, arising from your use of the service — including any loss arising from an inaccuracy in generated minutes.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Termination

You may stop using Minutiq or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms, or where we must for legal reasons. Because we do not retain meeting content, there is nothing to export on the way out.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes with them, and material changes will be notified to account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
